Call it destiny… I first started learning web design 8 years ago when I coded my first homepage after watching a YouTube tutorial. I’ve come a long way since that fateful site, coding more pages, going to school for web design, and now developing sites commercially. Since that first site, my tactics have improved and I no longer code pages, I design them with WordPress…

A quick Google search shows about 40% of the internet is utilizing WordPress. This is a staggering statistic given the sheer size of the internet. According to an article titled “40 Big Brand Companies That Use WordPress Actively in 2022” by wplift, Etsy, AMC, BBC America, Evernote and many more companies use and trust WordPress. When I originally read that statistic, it was surprising, but I knew I wanted to host and design my website using the same solution that the big companies use. If it could scale to fit the needs of such a large company, I could make it work for any project of mine. Eventually I set out to make my first website (This one) after being quite inspirationally berated by a college professor for not having one when domains were so cheap. The first draft was created (Not what you see today) and the site served it’s purpose as a portfolio piece. I received full marks on the work and after I graduated some time went by…

I should do web design commercially I thought to myself. Setting up my original portfolio site was simple enough, and web design is complicated for beginners. Often times, editors are just too complicated, cluttered, and who has time for that. People want to get on the web fast, actualize their ideas, and poise themselves for success, so the portfolio site was retired and the web design site was born. I now help people get on the internet and begin showcasing what their business is all about!
